The East Fairfield Covered Bridge is a covered bridge that crosses Black Creek off State Route 108 in Fairfield, Vermont. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.[1]
The bridge is of Queen post truss design by an unknown builder.
Multiple attempts to keep the bridge open were undertaken by the town during various times in recent history, but eventually it had to be closed to all traffic. In August 2008, the contracting company of Blow & Cote began reconstruction of the bridge. Work was completed and the bridge reopened to traffic on July 5, 2009.[2]
The East Fairfield Covered Bridge does span Black Creek however it is not off from Vt Route 108. It is off from Vt Route 36 in East Fairfield. I tried to update the main content page but was not familiar with wikipedia and how to do that.
